MBLAZE

Mblaze is a dnb DJ who has slowly started to make moves amongst the scene the past few years. He became a resident for Random Concept and their Academy artists after winning the 2013 DJ competition after the third time of trying which massively helped to boost his DJ portfolio and feature on many more RC nights up until this year.

He’s also heavily involved with the Volume brand which he helped to set up and has had the pleasure to play on their events alongside some massive artists and help bring back the good days of drum&bass to Oxford.

His love of djn and putting on a show has helped him get on to some massive shows and festivals across the UK and also abroad supporting all the top name DJ’s and mc’s in the scene at the moment.

He's been lucky enough to get on Mc Eksmans NextHype events practically from the beginning playing in the newcomers’ rooms and working his way up to mainstage sets. Has also featured on the BBC 1xtra dnb show twice with CrissyCriss where he played a guest mix on a newcomers special which featured Tyke and Annix and then again on the Fresh Talent show which helped him get involved in the CrissyCriss & friends nights which has boosted his profile a lot more since then and been added onto some very big line ups across the country and overseas.

If you've ever seen an Mblaze set you would have seen how much energy goes into his playing, nonstop jumping around for an hour or more as he just enjoys the music too much.

DJ MAC

DJ Mac started out in music at an early age learning to play the violin & piano, but it was dance music that caught his ear so after attending some local youth parties influenced by seeing the DJs spinning vinyl, he quickly picked up a pair of turntables himself and was soon up there as well playing to the crowds.

Mac mixed everything from House & Garage to jungle & HipHop, but his passion for big basslines lead him to settle as a Drum n Bass DJ.

He went on to help run a successful weekly night in his home town for a number of years in the early 00’s, and has played out at some well-known night spots across the country including the former Park End club Oxford H20 Swindon, & Lakota in Bristol to name a few.

Now with nearly 20 years mixing experience under his belt, a Volume & Rough Tempo resident for several years and recently winning the Random Concept DJ competition things are looking good right now. DJ Mac has had the chance to play alongside some of biggest names within the scene including the likes of Hazard, Annix, Taxman, Nicky Blackmarket & Ed Solo, all artists who influenced from a young age.

Looking forward Mac is currently dabbling in production and aims to have his own material out within the near future so watch this space...

THE HEAVIES

The Heavies consists of two long term friends who both shared a passion for music, forming an alliance pretty much straight off the back from being solo dj's to frequently going b2b on phatbeats radio in Enfield where they held their first residence radio show.

Moving forward a few years they decided that they wanted to move deeper into the scene and decide to take up producing, so with that they got into the producing life and quickly came to realise that this is where their main passion lied.

Heavily influenced in their music by the likes of filthy habits, rowney & propz, turno and hazard they set out to create their own style within the drum and bass scene.

2018 officially saw the coming together of Klav and Ruxt turning them from the solo artists they were to the duo known as The Heavies there are known as today.

2018 also saw The Heavies being welcomed into the Volume Dnb camp where they have featured on their residence rough tempo show as well as open dances for the likes of Chrissy Chris with more to come this summer!

Keep your eyes peeled for this duo as things are just starting for this talented new duo.
